CeGD is inviting researchers  - PhD, post-graduate students, researchers and other IT experts to apply for the secondment programme within the programme UNITE EUROPE.  Secondment grants cover monthly scholarship and travel expenses for either 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.

The Futures Committee of Bled Forum selected Mr Milan Maric, chair of the Montenegro Node of the Millenium Project, Country Manager of S&T Montenegro to get an award in respect to the 13th Bled Forum on Europe Foresight Conference "Europe beyond Smart – Inclusive – Sustainable throughout Cloud Computing Decade".

Part of this year's 13th Bled Forum on Europe  is also the topic of cloud computing, which will be for the Slovenian participants presented in detail at the opening event – CloudForum|LocalTM Slovenia, on 28th March 2012 at the Golf Hotel Bled.

Mr Niels Soelberg, Vice President for the Public Sector at Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa gave an interview for  The Slovenia Times in scope of Renaissance for eGovernace Envisioning event on the future on eGovernance which took place in Bled from 6th to 8th March 2012.

Bled, March 6^th 2012- The conference Renaissance for eGovernance, which is held in Bled, Slovenia, addresses governmental policy and decision makers from  90 participants from 24 countries. The conference is focused on how technology can transform the public sector in citizen services, education, and competitiveness of economy. The organizer of the Conference is CeGD together with Microsoft.

Dr. Žiga Turk, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia stressed in his key note speech that in 2008 during the Slovenian EU presidency  he endorsed the establishment of the Centre for eGovernance Development in Berlin together with Mr Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft. Minister emphasized he is proud  to see that Centre for eGovernance development fulfills its mission with projects in the region of South East Europe.
